Recruiting
Channel M2 can provide skillful
recruiting. For most studies, we use a blend of email recruitment
(from a global panel with access to over 15 million online consumers)
and telephone verification and confirmation. Specifically, emails
elicit involvement and direct participants to an online qualification
questionnaire to ensure each meets screening criteria. Telephone
follow-up confirms that respondents qualify and then ensures
good show rates by surfacing respondent questions and concerns.
Tech Support
Channel M2 provides dedicated
technical support, both in the preparation stage (ensuring respondents
are technologically prepared) and the interviewing stage (closely
monitoring system performance throughout the interview).
Once recruited, Channel M2 emails participants a link to the
interview, as well as a link to click on to verify their computer
has Flash (which 98% of computers do).
Thus, 30 minutes prior to the interview, when participants sign
into the waiting room and provide photo ID verification, most
technical support problems have already been resolved.
Technical Requirements
Technical requirements for using Channel M2:
• Macintosh or PC
• High speed internet (DSL or faster) preferred; dial-up
speed may work for many respondents
• Windows 98 or newer
While Channel M2 offers state-of-the-art
web conferencing technology, it is not realistic to expect images
like those of high definition television. Channel M2 also offers
state-of-the-art telephone conferencing, but it is not realistic
to expect clarity like dolby quality audio. Having realistic
expectations about the technology helps create a better research
experience.
